REGISTER You are invited to apply to be part of the 20th Berea Arts Fest. BAF offers to people of all ages the joy of experiencing and participating in visual and performing arts. The Berea Arts Fest is held at Coe Lake Park in the heart of Berea. The Berea Arts Fest has established a reputation for quality, friendliness and support for participating artists. Attendance for this one day festival has grown to over 10,000 art enthusiasts. The entire Arts Fest is handicapped accessible and admission is FREE. How to Enter You can apply by mail or online (see below). Applicants must submit a minimum of four (4) quality slides, photos or four (4) images electronically representing his or her work. There is a $20.00 non-refundable entry fee. Upon acceptance, you will be required to submit a refundable booth space deposit of $75.00 (10' x 10' area). Important Dates The 20th Anniversary Berea Arts Fest is Sunday, September 12th, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Entry application, submission fee and samples are due by April 15th, 2010. Acceptance and rejection notices will be mailed by May 15th. Refundable booth space deposit (for those accepted to the show) is required by June 30th, 2010. Failure to submit deposit by this date will result in cancellation of acceptance. No cancellation refund will be made after August 1, 2010. Booth space deposits for artists who arrive and register at the show will be refunded by September 30th, 2010. Register by Mail Click here to download a registration form in PDF format. Register Online Complete the following form, upload up to four images and submit your $20 registration fee via Paypal. Artist Responsibilities Each artist may submit, display, and sell in only one medium. All work must be original, priced and signed by the artist. All paintings, drawings, graphics and other two-dimensional work must be framed, mounted and/or matted or displayed tastefully in a portfolio on an appropriate stand. All three-dimensional works must be displayed in a safe and stable manner. Multiple originals or series of artworks, created by the artist, using usual and customary production methods for that media type are accepted as original art. Photocopies are not acceptable, unless such copies, in whole or in part, are a direct element of the creative process. We reserve the right to ask that hazardous or objectionable work be removed from the exhibit. Each artist shall be present representing his/her own work (no professional agents). Each exhibitor will be responsible for his/her dispay area (structure, display racks, etc. must be strong enough to withstand wind and rain) including tables, chairs, set-ups, weather protection. The Berea Arts Fest is held rain or shine. Each exhibitor will be responsible for his/her own sales reciepts and sales tax. The Arts Fest hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Vehicle unloading in the exhibit area must be completed by 9:30 a.m. You will be provided with FREE, near site parking. No vehicles will be allowed in the exhibit area after 9:30 a.m. No booth may be dismantled before 5:00 p.m. No art demonstration or midway type sketching is to be included without prior approval of the BAF Visual Arts Committee. We assume no liability for damage, theft or inury to persons or property on or off exhibit area. Support Services Although artists are responsible for staffing their own booth at all times, booth sitters will be available throughout the day to provide relief. Publicity and promotional support for the Berea Arts Fest is planned in local and regional newspapers, magazines, television, radio and internet. Limited set-up assistance will be available at no additional charge. |
